Sweet & Spicy Garlic Bowl
Sweet potato with paprika and cinnamon, ground turkey with garlic and warm spices, cottage cheese, avocado, and garlic hot honey. Garlic appears three times here — in the sweet potato seasoning, in the turkey, and in the honey drizzle. That repetition is intentional.

Ingredients
ServingsMetric
- 600 gsweet potatoes
- 500 glean ground turkey
- 200 gcottage cheese
- 2 pieceavocados
- 3 tbsphoney
- 4 piecegarlic cloves
- ½ tspchili flakes
- 2 tbspolive oil
- 1 tspsmoked paprika
- 1 tspgarlic powder
- ¼ tspcinnamon
- 1 tspcumin
- ½ tsponion powder
- 1 tspsalt
- ½ tspblack pepper
- 1 tsplime juice
Method
- Preheat the oven to 220°C (425°F). Peel and dice the sweet potatoes into 2 cm cubes. Toss with 1 tablespoon olive oil, smoked paprika, garlic powder, cinnamon, and a pinch of salt. Spread on a lined baking sheet. Roast 25 to 30 minutes, flipping once.
- Make the garlic hot honey: combine honey, chili flakes, and 1 minced garlic clove in a small saucepan. Heat gently over low heat for 3 to 4 minutes — do not boil. Remove from heat.
- Heat the remaining olive oil in a large skillet over medium heat. Add 3 minced garlic cloves and stir for 30 to 60 seconds until fragrant — add garlic before the meat. Add the ground turkey and break it apart. Cook 5 to 7 minutes.
- Add cumin, onion powder, remaining smoked paprika, salt, and pepper. Stir well and cook another 2 minutes.
- Season the cottage cheese with a pinch of salt, black pepper, and the lime juice.
- Assemble: sweet potato as the base, turkey alongside, cottage cheese in its own zone, half an avocado per bowl. Drizzle the garlic hot honey generously over everything.
FAQ
Garlic goes into three places: the sweet potato seasoning, the turkey, and the hot honey. With cinnamon and paprika, the result is a warm aromatic layer that makes the bowl feel more complete.

Salt the sweet potatoes at least 30 minutes before cooking sweet & spicy garlic bowl, or right before — never in between. Salt draws moisture to the surface; given 30+ minutes it reabsorbs. At 10 minutes, it's just sitting there making things wet.
